About the LIMBitless Q Foundation

No child deserves to walk alone. Championing for limb differences, nurturing potential, and igniting hope for children worldwide is our mission. With your support, we break down barriers to access, rewrite destinies, and create a vibrant, inclusive future where every step counts.

Our story

Two precious souls, Q and Sande, arrived in 2018, each embarking on unique journeys. Q held a unique difference - called Tibial Hemimelia in both legs also known as congenital short tibia, a birth defect in which all or part of the tibia is missing. South African Orthopedic doctors presented a difficult option of amputation. Our family, bound by love and hope, knew there had to be another way.

Fueled by the unwavering support of loved ones, we embarked on a global search.

Dr. Paley in Florida, USA a champion for children like Q, offered a ray of hope: limb reconstruction surgery. The $200,000 cost felt insurmountable, a mountain too high to climb. So we created the Q Foundation, not just to raise funds, but to amplify the collective heart cry for our son's future, fueled by the love of family and friends.

Today, the Q Foundation is more than just Q's story. It's a beacon of hope for countless children with limb differences, redefining prognoses and shattering limitations. Our journey started on a personal mountain, but together, we've reached new heights, transforming individual dreams into a collective impact.

Despite the shadow of COVID-19, 2020 saw Q's dream realized. He reached Florida, carried by the unwavering support of a community that wouldn't give up. Multiple surgeries later, he walks tall, a testament to the power of collective hope and relentless pursuit.

Q's journey wasn't just his own. It unveiled a world of children with similar challenges, their dreams limited by access to care. The Q Foundation's purpose expanded, its roots deepening across Pan-Africa. We vowed that no child's potential would be confined by geography or finances.

Hope crossed countiries when Rachel, a brave Ugandan mom, reached out to LIMBitless with her son Archie's story.

Born with Arthrogryposis, Archie fights for every step. To date, through collobration with the LIMBitless Foundation, she has raised €10,000 towards his $360,000 surgery!

Through collobration with EY and many young South African artists we hosted the first Q Gala on the rooftop of EY in Sandton. Thank you to Cassandra-Lea Wentworth and Kuben Naidoo who were instrimental in the success of the gala dinner. Howler sponsored the event management.

Justin, Jethro, and Miguel: Conquering Kilimanjaro for Q!

Three heroes embarked on a legendary climb. One mission: to raise awareness for the Q Foundation and empower children with limb differences. The climb was a success and all three summited the highest mountain in Africa. Reminding us that miracles happen all the time.
